Winter service 2008/9

Our Winter sailings start on Monday 3rd November, 2008. We will run 5 scheduled 40 minute round trips on many days throughout the winter subject to weather* and operational circumstances. We start at Coniston at 10:30 and call at Waterhead Hotel, Brantwood and Torver.

Brantwood House and the Jumping Jenny restaurant will be open daily, but from mid November until mid March they will NOT be open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Waterhead Hotel is open daily for morning coffee, light lunches, and afternoon tea. This is of course the Boat/Bus interchange. The Bluebird cafe at Coniston will be open most weekends and some weekdays throughout the winter.

We are pleased to carry groups of up to 40 people (discounts for 15 people or more) however we do need prior warning of this - please just give us a ring.

* Weather

We will not sail in continuous rain, wind over Force 3 (white caps), when the jetties are under water, or in ice. We make the decision on whether to sail at 10.00 each morning - so if the day improves you should check to see if we are running.
